Inspiration Board: Engagement

Posted By: Kristin on August, 16 2010

It’s finally starting to feel like the wedding is coming… we’re having our e-session this Sunday evening. I can’t wait, and have been practicing my good angles – no double chins in these photos :)

While browsing my favorite wedding blogs, I couldn’t help but notice a trend amongst many: inspiration boards. So, I tried to make my own. It definitely doesn’t compare to those that I’ve seen, but the process was fun.

We’re taking our pictures on campus at the University of Minnesota, where we met. One area of campus, called Dinkytown, has great graffiti and an urban vibe that I really dig. So, my vision for our shoot includes graffiti, cityscapes, etc. I have picked a navy blue dress and yellow flats for one of my outfits, hence the color swatches.

Like I said, it’s definitely not awesome, but it helps me understand what I’m imagining for our photos.

Any tips on e-sessions from you experienced brides? How about tips for preventing my groom from defaulting to his horrible fake smile? ;)
